Our Mission

Encourage and inspire young Vietnamese Christians to walk with God, to live a Christ-centered life, and to share the Gospel.

Our history

In 1998, the local Vietnamese church leadership had the vision to organize a local summer camp. Over the years, the annual summer retreat evolved into the Capital Vietnamese Christian Fellowship (CVCF) that has served hundreds of youth from all over the East Coast. We gather together to worship our God as well as encourage one another to live for the Gospel.

Gather, Worship & Play

Praise Nights & Retreats

'Spur one another on toward love and good deeds' - Hebrews 10:24

We host quarterly praise night events at a local church for the youth to enjoy a time of fellowship together and to listen to a message from a guest speaker.

Our annual main event is the four-day summer retreat usually held in early August.  Here, youth spend quality time building friendships, learning, worshiping, and playing together. Through this retreat, we desire for attendees to return home with a fresh love for God and a compassionate heart for the world around them.

Train & Equip

Leadership Training & serving opportunities

'Nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching' - 1 Timothy 4:6

CVCF aims to train, build up and encourage the next generations for our local churches. Throughout the year, we offer various training sessions and mentorship for our leaders. We also provide serving opportunities like leading small groups, fundraising, playing music, and building software application for our members to exercise their gifts. We desire for the next generation to be equipped and ready to serve their local churches’ ministries.

Resources

Fee Assistance, books, connections, & more

'May God of peace...equip you with everything good for doing his will' - Hebrews 13:20,21

Our desire is to encourage the growth and development of our youth in their relationship with Christ. Financial hardships are a reality for some attendees. We offer partial and full fee assistance for those needing financial help to attend our events. We are unable to maintain affordable rates without the generosity of donors.

We also provide resources like books, conference tickets, guest speaker suggestions, and more to our local churches. We aim to help our local churches to thrive because we believe that Gospel-centered youth come from Gospel-centered churches.
